Patch

Original Club Patch

The Unknown Riders Motorcycle Club had a humble beginning. It started in the spring of 1982, when a few guys from Milan, Tennessee attended the Kentucky Derby, in Louisville, Kentucky. While at the derby, the friends attended a motorcycle event hosted by the Screaming Eagles Motorcycle Club. The brotherhood, and the fun witnessed by the friends from Milan had them eager to return home and start a motorcyle club of their own.

After returning to Milan, the friends enlisted the help of the Sunset Riders, a motorcylce club in Brownsville, Tennessee, to assist in forming their club. In addition, the friends solicited assistance from interested parties in their community. Clarence Lewis, the owner of the Blue Goose Café, was one such contact. It was at this cafe that the friends began having their meetings. During one of these meetings Terry Clark, one of the original group of friends, suggested the club be named Unknown Riders and hence the Unknown Riders Motorcycle Club was formed. The Unknown Riders MC patch was designed by Frank Weddle of Milan, Tennessee.

Founding Officers were :
 President - Michael Clark
 Vice President - Joe Williamson
Secretary & Treasurer - Richard Rice

Founding Members were: Terry Clark, Stanley Joyner, Tommy White, Charles Pettigrew, Sam Bills, James Glenn, Corie Taylor, Dee Sowell, Thomas Wolffork, Charles Wolffork, & Henry Adkisson.

Twenty-seven years later, the Unknown Riders Motorcycle Club is still active in our community. Our Founding Chapter membership stands at 18. We have a second chapter established in Decatur, Illinois. We, like all clubs, have our ups and downs, but we believe you must go through something to get to something. Our Motto is.....

"Together We Stand, Divided We Fall"

Ride On Fellow Riders !
